First-session recommendation
Mercenary is the safest first Mistfall Hunter class. Start with Sword and Shield, use defense to learn enemy timing, and switch only after you know which part of the loop you want to change.
The beginner answer
High health, blocking, Perfect Block, a direct mobility skill, and a clear frontline job make feedback legible. When a new player fails, it is easier to see whether the problem was timing, range, or a spent defensive tool. That is more useful than starting with a fragile class whose failed setup ends immediately.

“Easy” means different things. Pick the route that removes the failure you dislike most.
A durable melee all-rounder with a defensive Sword and Shield branch and an aggressive Hammer branch. Mercenary gives new players room to learn blocking, spacing, extraction pressure, and team fights without demanding perfect execution.
A bow specialist built around charged shots, special arrows, tracking, traps, and disengage tools. Blackarrow can start a fight from favorable ground and keep melee classes paying for every step forward.
A heavy melee class with two unusually clear jobs: Greatsword applies Wither and hunts executions, while Polearm and Shield gives a Trio a barrier, peel, and ally protection. The defensive branch received official launch-day buffs.
A low-risk first hour
Good classes, expensive lessons
Shadowstrix is powerful, but low health and cooldown dependence mean a bad entry offers little time to understand the error. Seer asks the player to place runes, pace limited healing, and understand whether a mission needs Reverent or Blasphemer before basic combat is comfortable.
Sorcerer sits between the groups. Range helps, but chanting, low durability, and escape discipline make it less forgiving than Blackarrow.
None of these are wrong first choices when their fantasy is the reason you want to play. They are simply less efficient teachers.
Starter answers
Mercenary is the easiest general launch recommendation because it combines high durability, block options, clear melee fundamentals, and two understandable weapon paths.
Blackarrow is the clearest ranged beginner choice. Distance makes many PvE mistakes less expensive, but the player still needs aim, route awareness, and a plan for melee pressure.
It is a good choice for players who like heavy attacks and can accept slower timing. Greatsword is strong in Solo and PvE, while Polearm and Shield gives a clear Trio protection role.
